Compact switches are in the class of under voltage circuit breaker which thermic and magnetic protection on it. Circuit breakers benefit the opening and closing the circuit in the normal ambient condition, in the case of short-circuit and over current they benefit to cut off the circuit. It is a mechanical protection mechanism.
Over current: larger than nominal currents. The currents on each circuit and each element carry on are called nominal current. Because of the temperature measured in the conductive wire passed overcurrent on it is higher than the nominal current and temperature increases, it causes to destruction in cables and circuit leads.
To protect the circuit from the over voltage, thermic protection becomes active at compact swıtch.
