Circuit Breaker : A circuit element capable of opening and closing under all kinds of loads including by-pass. Its mission; to cut off load flow when it closes. It protects the circuit against by-pass etc. It has 3 poles. All active components are within the enclosure filled with SF6 gas. It is filled with sealed pressure system.
The necessary energy in order to extinguish the arc is obtained from arc again. Arc increases the heat of environment and this effects the gas. Heated gas extinguishes the arc catching the current limit immediately. They have varieties of front-and side-mechanism.
